Rimmel London Scandaleyes Lyrca Flex Mascara Review

Rimmel London Scandaleyes Lyrca Flex Mascara Review

Want to start off by saying that the lid is dirty just because of the consistency of the product, so please try to excuse how messy the lid area is.

Wow. This product is just wow. I absolutely am in LOVE with it! This is my holy grail mascara.

Okay, now for the review. The packaging of the mascara is what drew me to it. Whilst it would put some people off, I think it is fun and interesting. It's a nice big bottle, it's obvious where it is in my makeup draw (which, given that I like it so much, is a great thing). The consistency is quite wet and thick, so it's why my lid's messy. Also, when you pull the wand it, a little trail of mascara is at the end of the wand, and you have to wipe it every time. I should wipe it on tissue, I know. I usually apply 1-2 coats of this, and have my eyelashes looking like a dream! They are separated, it holds the curl, no clumps! The only problem I have with it is the because the brush is so big, it's hard to get the lower lashes.

Love, love, love!

Collection BB Cream Review

Collection 'BB Secrets' BB Cream Review

So this is a quick review on the Collection BB Cream.

I got this BB cream in the colour 'Light', and as far as I am aware, it is the lightest colour. My skin colour is very pale and fair, so I always have to go for Ivory foundations or BB creams. This was pretty light, but not light enough. It also had pink/orange undertone. When I applied it to my face, I honestly looked like someone who's had a dodgy spray tan. Even when I blended it slightly into my neck, my face was orange and my neck was normal. It didn't give me much coverage, and looked very obvious over my spots. Although this was around £3, I feel like it's a waste of money as I can't use this at all. If anyone knows of any cheap, good foundations that are cool toned or nude toned, give me a shout! Feel like I'm in the dark :(

Overall this is a terrible product, really. I won't be repurchasing.

Black Head Face Scrub Comparison

Blackhead Face Scrub

Neutrogena Blackhead Eliminating Scrub vs. Clean&Clear Blackhead Clearing Daily Scrub

The colour of this is white with black microbeads and is the bog standard consistency of a face scrub. It applies easily onto the face. I like how you can use it in different ways - as a daily face mask, a once a week face mask or a daily scrub, but I only use it as a daily scrub. It dries too quick for my liking, and feels chalky when you take it off, but does come off easily. However, in terms of 'does it work?', it does, but along a time period. After a week I saw results, so I wasn't completely satisfied with this product.

The Clean and Clear scrub is very similar to the Netutrogena one in terms of colour, but has blue microbeads and there are quite a few more. The consistency is more wet than the other scrub, so more suited to my liking. As far as I'm aware you can only use it as a scrub, which is fine for me. It stays wet for longer as well, but does get off your face nicely. I saw results in the first day, which it does claim to do on the package, so that was a nice bonus!

Winner: Clean&Clear was an easy winner for me! Better results and I liked the way it felt on my skin.

*DISCLAIMER* This is my first review, and hopefully the first time I have to write this disclaimer. This is my own personal opinion, I am in no way forcing you to choose one over the other, I just prefer one. I suppose I am advising you to buy one, but no one's skin is the same as another. All I am trying to say is my favourite may not be the same as yours.

Introduction - Dainty Lipstick

Okay, so I may have to warn you, this may be a very cliche introduction...

Hello everybody! My name is Jenna, and this is my new blog. Not my first, but hopefully more successful! I will be posting about beauty, skincare and nails (probably reviews and comparisons more often than most). I'm wanting to make blogging my hobby, but I'm still learning so any helpful tips or advice is greatly appreciated! I don't know a lot about makeup, but I feel that I am 'qualified' to review products for you. If something didn't sit well on my skin, then I will be honest. If a certain colour doesn't suit my skin tone (ivory), then I will be honest. I've made this blog to help people through the tough times of makeup.

Since I'll be lying low till more people read my blog, my posts will be on products that I have bought with my own money. This means that there won't be loads of reviews/comparisons as I'm not a millionaire. I still get pocket money!

Another side note is that I am from England, so not all the products I buy will be available from where you live. But I will always post links to where I bought it, or the shop I got it from. And thinking to the future, which company sent it to me! That's wishful thinking, but I'd love it to happen. All my prices will be in sterling (pounds, pence) as well.

Anyway, if you had read all this, then I thank you very much indeed.
Regards,
- Jen
